About Us

In 2017, I attended a keynote presentation by Dr. Frank Anderson that would forever
change the way I understood people—and myself.

As he described Internal Family Systems (IFS), he referred to anxiety, people-pleasing,
perfectionism, and self-numbing not as personality flaws or disorders, but as parts. I
remember feeling something shift inside me. The idea that I am not my parts resonated
with a profound sense of clarity. It wasn’t just an interesting therapeutic concept; it felt
deeply true.

Even more transformative was learning that beneath those protective parts exists our
authentic Self—a calm, compassionate, courageous core capable of leading with
confidence and connection. The experience of unblending from parts and accessing
Self energy opened an entirely new way of understanding healing.

That moment sparked a journey that has shaped my life’s work.

Over the following years, I immersed myself in Internal Family Systems, training with the
founder of IFS, Dr. Richard Schwartz, and many other respected teachers in the model.
I completed IFS Levels 1 and 2, pursued advanced specialty training, and ultimately
became an IFS Certified Therapist.

As my understanding deepened, so did my conviction that this model offers something
extraordinary. Throughout years of clinical practice, I have had the privilege of working
with thousands of clients facing trauma, anxiety, depression, OCD, addiction, grief,
betrayal, relationship struggles, parenting challenges, and many other emotional and
behavioral concerns. Again and again, I have witnessed people experience deep
transformation—not because they learned to fight against themselves, but because they
learned to relate to every part of themselves with curiosity, compassion, and
confidence.

Seeing that kind of healing unfold over thousands of therapy sessions inspired a larger
vision. I wanted to create more than a private practice. I wanted to build a place where
exceptional IFS therapy could thrive—a hub where individuals, children, teens, and
families could receive outstanding care; where therapists could receive high-quality
supervision and consultation; and where workshops, training, and speaking could help
bring the healing power of IFS to more people and communities.

Today, that vision continues to guide everything we do.

Whether you are seeking relief from painful symptoms, hoping to strengthen your
relationships, or simply longing to feel more like yourself, we believe healing is possible.
Every person already possesses the capacity for growth and wholeness. Sometimes
what is needed is a safe relationship, a skilled guide, and a compassionate process that
helps your Self lead the way.

At Whole Self Clinic we would be honored to walk alongside you on that journey.
